I prepared these BBQ Grissini Sticks that were created by EarthSprout . I'll post the changes I made below. I'm going to let them dehydrate a few extra hours to get more crunchy, but W and I did a sneak preview. Conclusion: The Zucchini Hummus goes great with the Grissini, AND celery stalks are easy, and compliment the mix. Hummus is Quick and Easy!

Magnificent Mango Hummus - (Raw Vegan)
After preparing a Coconut Mango Cream Pie that was to LIVE for, I still had some leftover Champagne Mangos (Ataulfo) from a case that needed to be used. I also froze a bunch to use for "ice cream" at another time. So today, I whipped up this Magnificent Mango Hummus and served it in a few romaine lettuce leaves. I could see this going really nicely on a salad, but would also make a great dip, if thinned out a bit. This is definitely a QUICK and EASY recipe!

Thai Coconut Curry Hummus
A mistake turned beautiful!!! I was going to make hummus for a gathering I was attending, but ran out of tahini in the middle of preparation. I quickly opened a new jar, stirred it up, and added ingredients to the blender. Big surprise - it wasn't tahini that I had opened, but coconut oil!!! NOW WHAT????
I had a mixture of cashews, tahini, garlic and coconut oil. What on earth could I prepare with those flavors? I came up with a Thai Coconut Curry Hummus. My non-raw friends loved it and I've been promising to post this recipe for days.

Dill Hummus
Yep - it's made with nuts...and Yep, it's rich, creamy and just a little bit decadent. This dish can be used in so many ways, adding a bit of creamy richness to any meal. Add a couple of spoonfuls to a wrap, stuffed full with lots of greens and sprouts...maybe a side of kimchi or raw sauerkraut. It can also be used as a salad dressing, a dip with raw chips/crackers, or spread it on a juicy sliced apple. I even made a pizza using Dill and Caraway Wrap that I dehydrated as a flexible pizza crust, topping with Nut 'n Dill Hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, dulse flakes, etc.
You will only need a small amount of this delicious treat to satisfy your hunger!

Beet and Horseradish Dip/Hummus
For those of you following my blog, you know i'm on a root kick...and one of the roots my doc wants me to have a tiny bit of each day..horseradish root. I made some kick-ass horseradish, but it's really potent and I needed to come up with a milder alternative. The goal was to create a hummus, however, this could be used as a veggie dip, hummus, condiment in wraps, etc. Once you prepare the horseradish, you can make this as hot or mild as you like. Irish Moss Paste is optional, but I explain in another post how to make it and freeze it so you have it on hand when needed. Here's a great article on the benefits and cautions in using horseradish.

Horseradish 'n Dill Crackers/Bread
As part of my recent exploration into "my roots," I prepared fresh Horseradish. It was deeply earthy and delicious. From that recipe, I made a Horseradish Hummus/Dip, which was lighter in texture, but also fabulous. I needed some crunchy crackers... So what else? Horseradish 'n Dill Crackers, of course! The horseradish flavor turned out rather mild while the dill seems to permeate the crackers. I love dill, so it works for me, and I can spread either horseradish or the hummus on them. If you're not a fan of dill, replace it with another herb. Walnut crackers are great! Walnuts give a richness, extra crunch, and a splendid nutty tone. This recipe may also be prepared as a bread.

And That's a Wrap!!! - A Coconut Wrap(per)!!!
If you have a dehydrator and have access to young Thai coconuts...these are a breeze. If not, there are certainly other ways to make wraps, but I was focusing on quick and easy with the tools I have. Delicious and super light! Continue to dehydrate, and instead of a flexible wrap, you have a light, crunchy snack! Switch up seasoning and create something sweet, savory and/or spicy! The variations are limitless! I chose a Chipotle Wrap below...

Sprouting - Lentils, Garbanzos and Mung Beans - Oh My!

Beans, beans, beans. We've got lentils, garbanzo beans and mung beans and it's time to do some sprouting. There are many health benefits to eating sprouts and I've read that sprouting increases enzymes up to 600%. I don't know that's true, but I do know they feel good and my body tells me what's good and what's not. It says, "Sprouts are GOOD!!!"

Onion Wrap
One of the very first foods I gave up when I started eating raw living food, was bread. I learned how the gluten acts like "GLUE" in the gut, sticking to it, fermenting, clogging, and wreaking havoc on my body. Here's a lovely way to enjoy a good wrap without the negative side effects.
