Tip : Egg Replacement

Did you know when converting Standard American Diet recipes to vegan recipes, you can replace an egg with 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds, to 3 tablespoons of water? Whisk and set aside for a a few minutes. It becomes very gelatinous and helps bind ingredients together, which is why they're used in most raw cracker and bread recipes.

Coconut Pearpricot - Green Smoothie

Woohoo!  Yesterday, I received some new *flavored extracts to experiment with, and blended up this fabulous green goodness for breakfast this morning. Just a few drops of the concentrated extracts adds a lovely layer of flavor to this living elixir!

Raw Autumn Pear Tart

W brought home a bunch of pears in different varieties. Time to revisit this amazing tart.

Wrote previously...OH YUM! Autumn is here... and I was in need of a really good COMFORT dessert! W brought me a bunch of pears and I had to use them before they got too ripe. This came out extraordinary! It tastes a lot like apple pie, except, I think I may like this better. The pears were sweet, tender and juicy. I used Bartlett Pears and then added a Red Pear for a little more texture.

Zippy Veggie Crisps

This started as an experiment. I was actually trying to make a ravioli shell. Wellllllll, I overslept this morning, and came down to these crispy sweeties!!!! They are awesome, super thin, super crispy, and super satisfying. Love em!!!! These are going to be one of my new favorites!!!

Rawfully Tempting Basic Bread Dough

I really love the taste and texture of sprouted Kamut breads, although, I can't eat a ton of it.

Some gluten sensitive people can handle Kamut and some cannot. If you've never tried it, go easy. I make my bread in small, 2" squares and that is all I need.  This is a basic bread dough recipe, and I encourage you to experiment with adding ingredients to give it more flavor.

Lasagna With Kelp Noodles and Marinara

This is great for a rainy, raw night. It's comforting, warming and satisfying and a meal you could easily serve to your SAD friends. While there are several parts that make up this dish, it can be prepared rather quickly with a little practice. The best part, there are plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night!!

Cookies For You. NEW - Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip

Delightfully decadent, these Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookies are touched with a hint of mint in both the cookie and the chips! I'm not a real mint person, but I'm loving these cookies.

Veggie Pot Pie

Creating a raw version of comfort food is always fun for me. Baked Macaroni and Cheese was one of these, and now, Veggie Pot Pie. I still need to do a little work on the crust and will update that as soon as I figure it out, but the filling was de-lish. Serving the filling over spiralized zucchini would be a fabulous option!

"Tuna-less" Melt on "Rye" Bread

This salad is very quick and easy to make. Served on my Rawfully Tempting "rye" bread, the consistency reminded me of a yummy tuna fish sandwich that I used to get in the Jewish Deli, growing up. This is one of W's favorite combos.  Now if only I could create a raw "Reuben on Rye." This is hearty and so very satisfying.

Double Fudge "Peanut Butter" and Banana Layer Cake

I made one of these for an Anniversary cake and another one for a dinner party. Didn't they come out so pretty?

The frosting and filling came out extremely tasty!!! Both cakes disappeared very quickly. The Anniversary couple had some leftover to share with their family. Hopefully they enjoyed it too! This is a bit of a project, but I've tried to break it down step by step. You can do it!
