Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie (Green)

Simple, delicious and easy to make. You all know how much I love chocolate and not so much a fruity person, but I wanted to try something new today using my incredible strawberry extracts. You can use fresh strawberries or any extract you normally use, but this was just F I N E! I also like to keep the fruit to a minimum in my smoothies, so the extracts help punch up the flavor without the added fruit.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie
(serves 2)
2 1/2 cups water
kale and dandelion
2 frozen bananas
1 pear (for sweetening)
3 dates, pitted and chopped
1 heaping Tbsp ea., hemp, ground flax, ground chia
1 Tbsp cacao powder
strawberry extract (5 drops Medicine Flower or your fav extract.)
dark chocolate extract (2 drops Medicine Flower)

Blend until creamy and ENJOY! The tiny amount of Medicine Flower flavors add so much to any dish. They are super concentrated and I'm hooked on them! You really have to be careful because it's easy to add TOO much...1-2 drops and some flavors really need less than 1 drop....

  1. This smoothie recipe sounds great. I have never tried smoothie with chocolate, but this one sounds delicious. However, I am going to add real strawberries and chocolate instead of extract.

  2. It will be very nice with strawberries for sure. I try to limit my fruit in smoothies..and I already had banana and pear in this one...plus, the extracts are very concentrated...so the flavor that you get from a few drops is more potent than if you use real fruit...
